When comparing All-Aluminum Alloy Conductors (AAAC) to AAC conductors, they exhibit significantly higher tensile strength and surface hardness. These properties offer the potential for reducing sags or increasing the spacing between towers, while also making the conductor less susceptible to surface damage during installation. Moreover, AAAC conductors have several additional advantages, including immunity to galvanic corrosion, the ability to use simpler installation fittings, and reduced vulnerability to surface damage. These qualities become especially crucial considerations for high voltage lines, particularly from a corona point of view.
